Raising children in contemporary families of Russian communities abroad faces a number of objective limitations in terms of their upbringing in the Russian national tradition. The transition of a number of foreign countries from Cyrillic to Latin, state programs of primary support for national languages, poor development of Russian-language printing, an insignificant place given to Russian cultural and historical subjects in the local media — all this leads to the fact that children of Russian pre-school communities (from 4 up to 7 years) get about the Russian culture is clearly insufficient understanding. As a result, their spiritual connection with historical Russia is reduced to an unacceptable level.

The right step in solving this problem would be to create and distribute among Russian communities cognitive and developmental kits designed to educate children of Russian preschool-age communities (from 4 to 7 years).

A series of children's educational aids “Russian Virtues” developed by the Foundation "Nexus of Generations” and the "ITB Group of Companies" fully corresponds to this goal.

This Series is a new word in preschool education in the paradigm of the Russian cultural tradition because it uses small forms of Russian children's folklore in a comprehensive and systematic way. The performance of the series in the Russian Lubka genre makes it a unique product, which families of Russian communities abroad have long been waiting for, who have smelled Russian visual images well known to them from their childhood.

Sets are made on a colorful basis, made in the genre of "Russian splint". The material on which the sets are created - stickers, magnets, cardboard cards, which are easily cut out, are used in games and quizzes, and are also repeatedly fastened on smooth surfaces (children's wardrobe, wallpaper, refrigerator, etc.).

The “Russian Virtues” series is sent free of charge to public organizations of Russian communities of foreign countries for distribution to families with children of pre-school age.

Program Implementation Sequence

2018:

- collection of applications for the series from representatives of Russian communities abroad;

- formation of the methodology for using the Series in the home and collective upbringing of children of pre-school age of Russian foreign communities, taking into account the specifics of countries and regions;

- organization of training of this methodology by the specialists of the Fund of Interested Persons (parents, teachers, educators, etc.) of Russian communities abroad through free webinars, video conferences, etc.;

- Popularization of the Series in foreign mass media (media, social networks, etc.).

2019:

- distribution of the Series at the request of Russian communities in Central Asia;

- further development of the Series products, incl. in the following topics:

- organization of thematic events (contests, quizzes, parties, etc.) aimed at popularizing the Series and Russian culture both among Russian foreign communities and among the local population

2019 г.:

- distribution of the Series at the request of Russian communities in Europe, Asia, Australia and America;

- organization of thematic events (contests, quizzes, parties, etc.) aimed at popularizing the Series and Russian culture both among Russian foreign communities and among the local population;

- organizing and conducting, within the framework of the Program and on the basis of the products of the Russian Virtues Series, the worldwide competition “Russian culture unites and enriches all nations of the world”.
