On November 2, 2018, on the eve of the Day of National Unity, a solemn ceremony will be held at the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill to award the laureates of the public national award for the contribution to the preservation and development of the family cultural and historical heritage «Family Relic».

Among those public organizations of Russia, which are recognized as the winners of the main nominations, the Interregional Public Foundation «Nexus of Generations».

The Foundation «Nexus of Generations» became the winner in the nomination “Family in Culture and Art”. As a competitive program, the Foundation presented its core Program “Dissemination of the «Russian Virtues» children's developmental benefits series among Russian foreign communities”, which was approved by the Foundation's Board on May 11, 2018.

The goal of the Program is to contribute to the preservation and strengthening of the cultural community of Russian foreign communities with historical Russia.

Raising children in contemporary families of Russian communities abroad faces a number of objective limitations in terms of their upbringing in the Russian national tradition. The transition of number of foreign countries from Cyrillic to Latin, state programs of primary support for national languages, poor development of Russian-language printing, a minor place given to Russian cultural and historical subjects in the local media — all this leads to the fact that children of Russian pre-school communities (from 4 up to 7 years) get about the Russian culture is clearly insufficient understanding. As a result, their spiritual connection with historical Russia reduced to an unacceptable level.”

The program designed for a three-year period (2018-2020) and receives active support among the Russian communities of the near and far abroad.
